Dr Naeem Muhammad is an Associate Professor at the University of Wollongong in Dubai.
Dr Muhammad has more than 15 years of teaching experience. Before he assumed his responsibilities at UOWD, he taught in Pakistan at the Institute of Business Administration, Karachi, the Institute of Business Management, Karachi, and the Lahore University of Management Sciences. He has also taught at Simon Fraser University and Kwantlen University College, Canada.
He received his PhD in 1998 from the Simon Fraser University (SFU), Canada, with specialisation in International Finance. He also completed his Masters at SFU, specialising in Financial Economics.
He has successfully conducted several training workshops for executives in the areas of Finance and Economics.

Dr Muhammad’s research interests include Islamic banking & finance, stock market integration, stock market volatility and international finance. He has presented papers in many international conferences and has published in reputed international journals.
He has received several research grants and has reviewed submissions for journals and conferences. He has supervised one MPhil student and has co-supervised one doctoral student.
Dr Muhammad is a professional member of the American Finance Association.
