Accreditation

All business programs of the University of Wollongong are accredited by The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). This accreditation provides an international seal of approval for business programmes that ensures the educational needs of students are met through high quality, continuous improvement and excellence in education. This globally recognised accreditation has been awarded to only the top five percent of the world’s business schools.

UOWD's Bachelor of Business Information Systems and Bachelor of Computer Science program, including the three majors in Big Data, Cyber Security and Game and Mobile Development, are accredited by the Australian Computer Society (ACS).

The Master of Marketing is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM). The accreditation offers graduates direct entry into the CIM Diploma in Professional Marketing and will be exempted from one out of the three modules to be completed in order to obtain a full CIM qualification. Current students will have the option to join as an Affiliate Studying Member. 

Engineering Project Management is a core subject in the Master of Engineering Management program at UOWD. Taking this module satisfies one of the key application criteria for the Project Management Professional (PMP) qualification and students who pass the program can use this subject as evidence of their 35 hours of project management education.

The UOWD Bachelor of Business (Finance) and the Master of Applied Finance (Investing) are part of the CFA Institute University Affiliation Program. This status is granted to institutions whose degree program(s) incorporate at least 70% of the CFA Program Candidate Body of Knowledge (CBOK), which provide students with a solid grounding in the CBOK and positions them well to sit for the CFA exams. In addition, students are strongly recommended to complete the free online learning module, Ethics and Standards of Practice available through the CFA Institute®.

UOWD's Master of Supply Chain Management is accredited by the UK’s Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT). Students will have the option to join as a Student Member of CILT, providing them with a plethora of benefits contributing to their personal and professional development in order to advance into more senior leadership roles. The accreditation will also serve as a pathway to CILT Chartered Membership status.

The Bachelor of Business (Human Resource Management) and Master of Business of Human Resource Management are accredited by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD).

Upon successful completion of the UOWD degree, the student will become an Associate Member of the CIPD, with the possibility to upgrade to a Chartered Member or Chartered Fellow status.

Completing a bachelor's or master’s degree in HRM by an Approved Centre is the equivalent of taking a CIPD Level 5 for bachelor and CIPD level 7 for master, qualification in Human Resources. Holding such a degree will enhance the student’s professional prospects, reward and benefits and overall career growth. 

UOWD's Bachelor of Business (Accountancy) is accredited by the UK’s Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) for exemption from 9 out of 14 ACCA papers, the maximum exemption that can be achieved at a bachelor level. Upon graduation from this program you can gain professional certification from the ACCA to become a chartered accountant.

UOWD's Bachelor of Business (Accountancy) has been accredited by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. The globally recognised CIMA qualification allows graduates to become part of a global network, improving their employability and earning potential across the world.

UOWD's Bachelor of Business (Human Resource Management) and Master of Human Resource Management are accredited by the Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI). Students will enjoy a variety of benefits contributing to their personal and professional development in order to advance into more senior leadership roles. The accreditation will also serve as a pathway to AHRI Membership status.

All of UOWD’s Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) degrees are professionally accredited by the Institute of Engineers Australia (IEAust), also known as Engineers Australia. Through the Washington Accord, courses accredited by Engineers Australia are recognised by equivalent professional Engineering authorities in the USA, UK, Japan, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Canada, South Africa and other countries.

Students enrolled in UOWD's Bachelor of Computer Science (any major), Bachelor of Business Information Systems, Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) , Master of Engineering Management, Master of Information Technology Management degrees are eligible for free student membership with the Energy Institute. The Energy Institute (EI) is the leading professional membership body bringing global energy expertise together, from oil and gas to renewables. The EI connects you to a thriving global community and unlocks access to a broad range of benefits. Becoming a student member of the EI will grant you access to resources and opportunities that will not only support you in your studies, but also to further your career development.

UOWD's Master of Supply Chain Management is accredited by the UK’s Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS). UOWD students will receive free CIPS student membership and upon successful completion of their degree along with evidence of 3 years relevant work experience they may apply for MCIPS membership of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply.

Our language centre is accredited by the National ELT Accreditation Scheme (NEAS) for its English language programs. NEAS, a reputable international accreditation body, has been providing quality assurance and accreditation in English language teaching for 22 years and the English Language Centre is proud to be a recognised accredited centre.

All degrees offered by UOWD are accredited by the Ministry of Education through the Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA). This accreditation ensures that the degrees received by UOWD graduates are recognised throughout the United Arab Emirates, the GCC and internationally for further education and employment in the private and public sectors.

UOWD is licensed by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA), regulatory authority that is responsible for the growth and quality of private education in Dubai.
