- Dr Munir Lutfi
Dr Lutfi is currently an Assistant Professor at the University of Wollongong. Prior to this, he was the Chairman of the Department of Accounting at the University of Jordan.
He has conducted many accounting, auditing, financial and investment training programs and has provided consultancy services to various businesses.
Dr Lutfi obtained his Bachelor of Accounting from the University of Jordan and then completed his Masters in Accounting at George Washington University. He received his PhD in Accounting from the University of Glasgow.

Dr Lutfi has reviewed submissions to journals and has published in many reputed journals with his most recent publications being the following:
- Enhancing Internal Control Systems to Prevent and Detect Financial Fraud;
- Applying Accrual Basis of Accounting in Public Sector: Lessons and Challenges.
- Detecting Unusual Stock Market Patterns
Dr Lutfi’s research interests include market based accounting research, financial fraud, accounting disclosure, auditing practices and management accounting practices. Dr Lutfi is also a PhD student supervisor.
