One Skill Retake

IELTS One Skill Retake is a new way to help you reach your potential and showcase your full English language ability. With IELTS One Skill Retake, you now have the option to retake any one section of the test (Listening, Reading, Writing, or Speaking) if you need to improve on one area (instead of retaking all four sections). We know most people get the scores they need first time, but if you feel you have not performed to your best in all areas, IELTS One Skill Retake can be that help to get you back on track. It is available for both IELTS Academic and General Training tests.

You can take One Skill Retake if you meet all of these requirements:

• you have completed a full test at a centre that offers IELTS One Skill Retake
• your full test was an IELTS on computer test
• you sit your IELTS One Skill Retake within 60 days of your full IELTS test.

The One Skill Retake test fee is AED 900/- VAT inclusive.

You can book a IELTS One Skill Retake 60 days between your original test and your IELTS One Skill Retake.

You can retake any one section of the IELTS test, whether it is Listening, Reading, Writing, or Speaking. The format and timing of that IELTS One Skill Retake test is the same as that individual skill in a full IELTS test, only you can save time by not needing to complete the other three skills.

No. You can only complete one retake for each full IELTS test.

At present, IELTS One Skill Retake is only available on computer in selected test centres, in selected countries. We are continuing to roll IELTS One Skill Retake out to test centres in more countries. In future, we expect to make IELTS One Skill Retake available to those who have taken the paper-based test, and we will let test takers know when this option is made available.
