- Dr Lina Gharaibeh
As a faculty member at the School of Business, University of Wollongong in Dubai (UOWD), Dr Lina Gharaibeh is committed to enhancing the educational experience of students by providing comprehensive knowledge in operations management, supply chain, and business strategies. Dr Gharaibeh brings extensive industry insights into the classroom, creating a dynamic learning environment that bridges theoretical concepts with real-world applications.
Dr Lina Gharaibeh holds a PhD in Engineering Science and Production Technology from Högskolan Väst, Sweden, awarded in 2024. Her doctoral research focused on optimizing manufacturing processes and exploring the transformative potential of Industry 4.0 technologies in various business settings.
Dr Gharaibeh’s teaching philosophy is cantered on active student engagement and the application of practical examples from diverse industries. She emphasizes hands-on learning, critical thinking, and problem-solving, equipping students with the skills necessary to navigate complex business environments. She adapts her teaching methods to suit various learning styles, incorporating both traditional and digital platforms to provide an inclusive and stimulating learning experience. She fosters a collaborative classroom where students are encouraged to integrate theoretical knowledge with practical industry challenges.
Dr Gharaibeh’s research interests lie at the intersection of Production Technology, Supply Chain Digitalization, and Automation. She has explored the transformative potential of Industry 4.0 technologies and developed tools to assess Building Information Modelling (BIM) feasibility. Her research is multidisciplinary, combining technological advancements with strategic management, operations, and human resource considerations. This holistic approach aims to provide actionable insights that help businesses navigate digital transformations.
Before joining UOWD, Dr Gharaibeh served as a Researcher and Teaching Assistant at University West, Sweden, from 2021 to 2024, contributing to academic research and collaborating with industry partners. She previously worked as a Project Manager with DAR Group from 2015 to 2021, specializing in Project Management and Contracts within construction and engineering management. With over 15 years of experience in project management, Dr Gharaibeh has cultivated expertise across sectors such as construction, supply chain, procurement, logistics, and operations management.

- Dr Gharaibeh has received a research grant of 65,000 euros from Erasmus ACM. This grant supports a project focused on building faculty capacity between her organisation and a university in her home country, Jordan. The project emphasizes collaboration, knowledge exchange, and the development of academic programs that align with the evolving needs of industry and education.
Dr Lina Gharaibeh has over 13 years of experience in the construction and consultation industries, where she has managed large-scale projects and teams. Her expertise spans construction management, engineering management, and various aspects of supply chain and operations, making her well-versed in the complexities of these industries.
