Tuesday, 15 April, 2025
The University of Wollongong in Dubai (UOWD), in collaboration with the ENAI WG Centre for Academic Integrity in the UAE, proudly concluded the Integrity Spring Camp 2025 with the graduation of 35 students as official Integrity Ambassadors.
This year’s camp brought together high school students from 10 institutions across the UAE for a three-day programme designed to deepen their understanding of ethics, academic honesty, and personal responsibility. The camp featured a mix of online workshops and competitions, culminating in an in-person award ceremony recognising participants' efforts and reflections.
Participants engaged in themed challenges, live discussions, and an oath-taking and virtual badging ceremony that reinforced values such as honesty, fairness, trust, respect, and responsibility in academic work.
For many students, the experience was both eye-opening and inspiring.
“It ignited my curiosity, and I would like to implement what I learned in my life and among my friends,” said Yusra Fathima Farid from The Westminster School, Runner-Up in the Junior Category.
Shrehan Dalal from Raffles World Academy, Winner in the Sub Seniors Category, reflected: “The camp taught me about citations and the importance of integrity and honesty in my life.”
Akash Razib Khan, Al Diyafah High School and Winner in the Junior Category, described the programme as “very exciting and engaging.”
Dr Zeenath Reza Khan, Associate Professor at UOWD and Founding Director of the ENAI WG Centre for Academic Integrity in the UAE, expressed her admiration for the students’ commitment:
“The camp continues to grow in reach and impact, and it’s incredibly heartening to see young minds engage so deeply with the principles of academic integrity. These students are not only learning about these values—they’re becoming advocates for them in their communities.”
